Independence Day 2025
The Independence Day celebration was held at 9.30 am in the Vallalar Colony playground.
Colony residents, committee members and children participated in the celebrations.
Everyone saluted the flag after it was hoisted. Everyone present sang the National Anthem.
The Annual report was read by our Secretary Mr. M. Ramiah sir.
Our Vice President Mr. Purusothama Naidu sir elaborated on the steps taken to avoid flooding in and around the Otteri Nullah by reviving the proposed diversion channel.
The financial statement for the year 2024-25 was read by our Treasurer, Mr. Ramaranjan sir.
In the evening, at around 6.30 pm, a cultural event was organized for the colony residents.
Our area councilor Thiru. T.V. Semmozhi sir was the chief guest for the occasion.
Prizes were distributed to children who had won various events organized in the colony a week earlier by our Joint Secretary Mr. K. Suresh sir.
Gift packages were also distributed to several under-privileged children.
The committee wishes to thank Mr.Guru who was instrumental in organizing the evening event, and for everyone who supported and contributed towards making this occasion memorable.
